Since this event is the largest egg hunt in Louisiana pre-registration is encouraged. Pre-registering allows for your family to move through the line much quicker!
The event will be located at Jennings Park & Recreation in Jennings, LA. The event starts at 10:00 am and last until 2:00 pm. EggDrop Schedule is as follows:
A full size helicopter will drop thousands of plastic eggs onto the fields before the egg hunt! But don’t worry, everyone will be standing in a safe area away from where the eggs are being dropped. After the helicopter has safely left the kids will then be allowed onto the field to collect eggs! This year’s event will feature four drops (Ages 0-4, 5-8 and 9-12 and VIP kids). Each drop will be staggered 30 minutes for each age group. This provides ultimate safety and ensures a parent can give full attention to their children in each age specific zone.
Only parents of 0-8 year olds and VIPs will be allowed to help their children on the field. Parents in the other age groups will be able to watch and encourage their children from the boundary lines, just a few feet from the actual egg hunt field. Our amazing Egg Drop Volunteers will ensure your children stay safe and have fun during their hunt.
YES!!! If your child has special needs we would like to “roll out the red carpet” for them by providing a VIP pass that will ensure they get preferred access to the egg hunts as well as other activities. When you register your child please explain any special accommodations they may need.
No Worries! We will be registering people at the event, but we recommend you come early.
In the event of inclement weather, please check the web site for details about rescheduling and/or location change. If you are already registered, we will email you with any date or venue changes.
We are collecting plastic Easter eggs and candy donations. You can drop off your candy donations off at our OSC Office (1830 S. Lake Arthur Ave) during the week, Monday-Thursday 9:00am – 5:00pm. We ask that the candies are individually wrapped, non-chocolate, no lollipops.
Yes! We will have many different food vendors at this year’s event. So bring some money to buy lunch.
