The Vision

A life-changing experience through the New Testament one chapter at a time.

What would your life look like if you spent intentional time with God everyday?

I personally think your life would begin to look more and more like Jesus, and isn’t that our desire. Truth be told, most of us don’t struggle with desire, we struggle with discipline. We want more of God, but we need help.

We need help reading, understanding and applying the Bible to our daily lives.

We need help learning how to connect with God through prayer.

We need help hearing God’s voice in a world that is competing for our attention.

That is why we created Daily Devos. No matter where you are in your relationship with God, Daily Devos will help you encounter God in fresh and new ways.

Someone once said, “A vision without a strategy is fantasy.” So here is our strategy!

Monday through Friday, we will dive into one chapter a day from the New Testament. Our OSC pastors, staff, and leaders will take a verse and sometimes a number of verses each day from that day’s New Testament chapter and explain, inspire, and bring it to life.

Augustine said: “The Bible is shallow enough for a child not to drown, yet deep enough for an elephant to swim.” Throughout this journey, you will be able to wade in sections and swim in others. It’s a reservoir for everyone. Get ready for a life-changing journey!

The Approach

At Our Savior’s Church, our desire is that every believer would not just attend church, but also hear from God daily through His Word! We believe that doing SOAP daily re-patterns the way we think, transforms our heart, and helps us become more like Jesus.

How to S.O.A.P.

S FOR SCRIPTURE – Write down in your journal the verses that stand out to you.

O FOR OBSERVATION – Write down what observations and thoughts you have about the scripture you are reading. What is God saying through this scripture?

A FOR APPLICATION – Personalize what you have read today. How does it speak to what you’re facing right now?

P FOR PRAYER – You can write a prayer or simply speak it out loud based on what you have just read and experienced. Ask God to help you apply this truth in your life.
